In an attempt to inject a bit of colour into these dreary mornings, I give you the oh-so-easy and incredibly tasty mixed berry and mint smoothie!

 

Perfect to come home to after a hard morning run. A perfect accompaniment to some pre-breakfast yoga. A perfect mid-morning pick-me-up. And a perfect distraction from work when you just need to get up and do something new (I find whizzing various colours together in a blender highly therapeutic!).

 

 

Simply blend together:

3/4 cup frozen berries ( I use a mixed bag of summer berries with strawberries, blackberries, blueberrries and currants)
4 heaped tbsp natural yoghurt
100ml apple juice
Small handful of fresh mint
